Meet Dr. Tanisha Moore

Education and Training
Dr. Moore grew up in Urbana and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans. Following graduation, she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN. She served patients in the Memphis area for nearly a decade before returning to her hometown area in Ohio.
Family, Cosmetic, Laser, and Botox
As a compassionate clinician, Dr. Moore delivers care for all areas of family and general dentistry as well as cosmetic solutions and clear aligner treatment for beautifully straight smiles. She is also a certified Solea Laser dentist and holds certification from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics for Botox and Dermal Filler treatment.
Home Life (and Zumba)
Beyond serving patients, she loves spending time with her daughter and their family dog. She also enjoys reading, music, roller skating, bowling, ice skating, canoeing, watching movies, and dancing. (Fun fact: Dr. Moore taught Zumba at her local YMCA for 7 years.)
Allison
Expanded Function Dental Assistant
After serving patients for a few years as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), Allison went on to complete the EFDA program at Sinclair Community College and achieved licensure in 2015. She enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family. She also loves animals (has three pets of her own), cooking, the outdoors, traveling, and watching Buckeyes and Bengals football.
Tissa
As our amazing Office Coordinator, Tissa makes sure everything goes smoothly for our patients and our team. She and her husband Jared have a full house with two children, Mason and Liam, and two dogs, Riley and Meeka. Tissa loves spending time traveling and being with family and friends. She is a Buckeye fan and the beach is her happy place.
Samantha
Sam has been a dental assistant for 6 years now. She will be starting the EFDA program at Sinclair May 2023. She loves spending time with her husband Brandon, and daughter Kennedy. They have a golden retriever, Max, and a cat, Oliver. She enjoys going to concerts, traveling, reading & working out.

Kay
Kay graduated the Dental Assisting program in 2020. After completing her externship here at Hometown DDS, she returned from maternity leave as a member of our staff! Kay realized her passion for dental assisting when she was an Orthodontic patient in 2010. She and her husband, Josh, have a full house with two boys, a dog, a cat, and a hamster. In her free time, Kay enjoys reading, fishing with her dad, and relaxing with her family.
Allison J.
Allison is a graduate of Springfield High School, as well as The Ohio State University Division of Dental Hygiene and the Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary program. She has been a hygienist in Springfield since receiving her license in 2019. Allison is a bookworm who loves cooking, embroidering, and her black cat. Her favorite part of working in dentistry is meeting new patients and building relationships with them.
